Description

The conference on Native American and Hmong Indigenous education seeks to help educators; future educators and others learn about Indigenous education and significant Native and Hmong contemporary and historical issues. The conference will be held on March 4-5, 2016 at the Hmoob Cultural and Community Agency. Each year the annual conference offers a number of opportunities to get involved.

There are many benefits to volunteering for the conference, including networking with fellow Education students, professionals, and community leaders, building your resume and developing new skills. Volunteer roles include, but are not limited to, set up and take down, registration, workshop assistant, and helping our head cooks prepare food for the traditional meals.

Lunch and dinner is included for people volunteering during those hours. Volunteer schedules are generally flexible depending on the tasks.

This year we are excited to offer participants the opportunity to volunteer in lieu of the full registration price. Make sure to register on our website at http://act31.weebly.com/registration-information.html and check YES when asked if you are interested in volunteering. The Early Bird Special pricing ends on January 31, 2016 for those who may not have time to volunteer. For more information, please email indigenouseducation@gmail.com or call (608) 781-5744.
