Hmoob Cultural and Community Agency

The Hmoob Cultural and Community Agency, Inc is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and is made up of passionate staff and community members dedicated to providing progressive community development, advocacy and cultural revitalization through holistic services, educational programming, outreach and community connections.

We offer youth and elder cultural programming. We provide interpretation and translation services. We provide direct services to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We also do trainings on domestic violence and sexual assault, and Hmoob history, culture and education. We organize and host the annual Hmong New Year in the La Crosse area along with the Widening the Circle Conference on Indigenous Education.

The School District of La Crosse and Hmoob Cultural and Community Agency (HCCA) have worked collaboratively for the past 10 years to create an educational experience about Hmong history and culture for all district fourth grade students and teachers, called the Hmong Education Project.
