Feed the Kids is a summer program (started June 5th-August 23rd) that we partner with the YMCA for. This program, with the help of volunteers, delivers lunches to kids in the La Crosse/Onalaska area. Feed the Kids is a way for kids to get a nutritious lunch they would normally get during the school year. But, due to summer, those meals aren’t always available to kids – this helps to fill that gap. This happens Monday-Friday throughout the summer. Last year over 7,000 meals were served – thanks to many volunteers!
We need help delivering these meals! This happens every day of the week, Monday-Friday, starting at 9:45am-12:30pm. We go to the Houser YMCA, Myrick Park, Aptiv, Weigent Park, Library, and another spot or two to deliver the lunches. Volunteers use a Salvation Army van.
We are looking to fill every Thursday throughout summer and June 30th! We do have a volunteer who is willing to go on Mondays, but they have asked for another volunteer to also go!
