Summary
The COVID-19 Testing Support Volunteer will assist Scenic Bluffs staff members in a community wide COVID-19 testing event on May 20, 2020 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. In general, the individual will assist with the required patient paperwork as it relates to COVID-19 testing. Personal protective equipment will be provided.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with paperwork
- Provide directions to patients
- Assist with operational efforts related to event
- Report to volunteer as scheduled
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The individual must respect the confidentiality of patient information while performing duties and establish and maintain effective volunteering relationships with individuals, other volunteers and Scenic Bluffs employees.
Education and/or Experience
The COVID-19 Testing Support Volunteer should have skills in organization, effective listening and problem solving. Experience and/or education in the medical field are helpful.
Communication Skills
The individual must possess strong oral and written communication skills. Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are helpful, but not required.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a volunteer to successfully perform the essential functions of this volunteer position. .
- Work may require sitting or standing for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching
- Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing 25 pounds or more
- Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate copier and other such equipment
- Possesses sight and hearing senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
Volunteer Work Environment
Volunteer work will be performed onsite at 238 Front Street Cashton, WI 54619. Interaction with others will be frequent, volunteer hours will be completed on May 20, 2020 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
