Lakeview Health Center provides specialized long term care and rehabilitation for adults with various mental, cognitive and health related challenges. Volunteers are needed to assist staff with programs or to engage residents in one to one activities. Volunteer hours are flexible with varied opportunities to fit your needs.
Volunteer needs and ideas include:
* Assist with programs such as crafts, baking, Bingo, etc.
* One to one visits
* Play cards and/or games
* Assist with transporting individuals to church and other activities
*Play musical instruments or sing
* Help with community outings (shopping, dining, etc)
*Manicures
*Take individuals for outdoor/indoor walks
*Read to residents
*Help with holiday parties
*Teach or share a hobby or craft
* Reminisce with residents...and learn a great deal from them!
