Volunteers at the ReStore get a behind-the-scenes look at the daily operations of La Crosse’s only discount home improvement store. In a typical day, volunteers help track incoming donations, support customers, and keep things running smoothly. Volunteers might split into smaller groups to support different areas of the store: receiving, recycling room, and the checkout counter. Special projects (TBD) might include crafting holiday ornaments, constructing shelving for a new section of the store, or landscaping in the ReStore’s native plant gardens. This locations require closed-toed shoes.
Volunteers will meet in the UWL Student Union Lower-Level E-Cafe at 9am to kick-off the Day of Service. Volunteers will return to UWL for lunch and community building.
