La Crosse Area Parkinson’s Awareness Event

10am to 2pm at Myrick Park Shelter | 789 Myrick Park Dr, La Crosse, WI 54601
FREE | Donations will support local Parkinson’s exercise, education and support programs in our community.

10AM—Walk Registration Opens
11AM—Opening Ceremony
11:15AM—Parkinson’s Moving Day Walk Begins (For all ages and abilities—one & two mile routes)
Resource & Education Booths, Kid’s Corner Crafts & Face Painting, Food & Beverages for Purchase, and Live Music!
We will need volunteers to help in the following areas – from 8am to 2pm
- Event Greeters – helping people find Registration, Educational Booths, Bathrooms, Kids Corner, etc…
- Route Cheerleaders – stationed on the route to cheer on walkers and hand out water
- Registration – helping with same day registration and donations
- Clean up/Set up – helping with walk route set up/take down and set up/clean up in the shelter area
We will communicate with student volunteers via email regarding volunteer assignments as we get closer to the event date.
