Great Rivers United Way

Mission

The mission of the Great Rivers United Way is to unite people and resources to improve lives and strengthen our communities. We value Collaboration, Integrity, and Advocacy.

Volunteers are needed for special events, including reviewing annual grant requests from our partner agencies. You can help decide how the money raised during our annual campaigns is allocated in our local communities!

We also need volunteer tutors during the school year to help with Read to Success, a highly successful program that provides extra help with reading for third graders in our public schools. Tutors work one to one with students on a regular weekly 30 minute schedule reading a book and talking together about the story. Teachers say the kids really look forward to seeing their Read to Success tutor each week! We will match you up with an elementary school and a classroom teacher that works with your schedule.
