On December 18th starting at 9:00am until 6:00pm we will be distributing the Angle Tree presents and the Christmas food boxes at our warehouse located at 434 Nelson Place.

We will need 12-15 volunteers for each shift that day.

Here is a fun event for you and your friends or group to do together or as a single as well. 

You no doubt have seen the bellringers out at Christmas time, those bell ringers support a very large chunk of our annual budget and help us complete our mission. "To meet human need without discrimination" 

We invite you to sign up to be a bell ringer, have fun, play music, sing where your holiday attire if you like. But most importantly, help your neighbors get a hand up.

If you are looking for a way to boost your Christmas Spirit how about gathering toys for kids and sorting them with our Angel Tree Coordinator at our warehouse. Kind of like being an elf for a day.

We are in need of volunteers to help sort and gather the donated toys at our warehouse to make sure that all the items are accounted for each child. 

The Angel Tree Coordinator will provide instructions for you and it is a really "good feel" type of event.

Our shelter meal program provides 3 meals a day to our residents in house, as well as a canteen window option for community members which serves over 150 meals each day! Help us serve meals to our residents and the community!

If you are interested in volunteering with our meal program, please sign up through our Salvation Army of La Crosse Website. Go to salvationarmyvolunteer.org to get started. 

Once you are an approved volunteer, you will be able to see available volunteer opportunities. Shifts are available 7 days a week . Lunch is served from 11:30-12:30, the canteen window shift is from 11:00-12:30 and dinner is served from 4:30-5:30!

The Salvation Army of La Crosse County is looking for a tech savvy individual to assist with Social Media postings. Helping to create automated social media messaging sequences. Periodically meet with Salvation Army Development staff to discuss ongoing messaging campaigns.

The Thrift Store serves a dual role in our mission.  People in need can get vouchers to get the items that they need, whether it be clothes, shoes or items to help set up their new home.  When items sell to the public, that money goes back into our mission to feed and shelter individuals in need. 

Many hands make light work.  We get loads of donations in every single day at The Salvation Army Thrift Store.  We need lots of help to get through them and make them ready for the sales floor. Help sort and organize, clear out and reshelve items, clean, and hang out with a great staff team! Opportunities are flexible during these times, Monday–Friday, 9am-6pm or Saturday, 9am-5pm.

 You can choose your volunteer dates and times! After an approved application, you can volunteer whenever you'd like, no scheduling needed. Thanks for your help!

We are looking for some help covering office hours. Shifts would be 1+hours from 8-4 M-F. This would entail answering phones, filing, sorting of mail etc.  If interested, please reach out to rick.rux@usc.salvationarmy.org
