Volunteers would help Conservancy staff remove invasive brush and burn it (weather dependent) using garden loppers and hand saws. This biodiverse site is one of the last remaining examples of bluffside oak savanna and oak opening habitats left in Wisconsin, and represents what La Crosse would have looked like before European development. Volunteers would be contributing directly to improving wildlife habitat and preserving the environmental history of La Crosse.
