The third annual 2023 La Crosse Juneteenth Celebration is on Sunday, June 18, at Riverside Park and we need volunteers to help.
The commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States is an opportunity to learn and grow as a community right here in La Crosse!
We are planning a busy day with a variety of good food, kids activities, live entertainment, community booths and much more. Sustainability is being incorporated into the day with sustainable food packaging, Culligan water stations and recycling.
All of this takes volunteers and we are grateful you will help make this possible. To find an area and time where you can volunteer, please go to the Sign-Up Genius at https://bit.ly/LAXJuneteenth23
Volunteer areas include:
- Set Up
- Welcome Table
- Food Area
- Water Station Attendant
- Facilitate Youth Train and Water Games
- Music/Entertainment
- Floater
- Enduring Families Project
- Bike Corral
- Take Down
Sign up for as many slots as you like. By providing your contact information we will confirm your responses and send a reminder a few days in advance of the event.
When you arrive at the park, please stop at the Welcome Table at the park entrance and check in with a Juneteenth Committee member.
