Belling Ringing Instructions:
Please sign in at the Service Desk: The kettle and sign-in sheets are at the customer service counter. People ringing should sign in with their first and last name.
- Bells are in the pockets of the apron.
- If it seems like the kettle is full, give it a good shake. Many times, that will prompt the money to settle and you will have lots more room.
- If there is a problem or the kettle is full, please call the Kettle Coordinator at 608-782-6126
- Leave the kettle stand where it is, unless you are directed to move it by the store manager or a Salvation Army representative.
- If you are ringing alone and need to leave the stand for any reason, bring the kettle to the service desk and tell them you will be right back.
- If a set of volunteers does not replace you at the end of your shift, return the kettle to the service desk.
- Have a fun and festive attitude. You represent the spirit of the holidays and the Salvation Army! Smile, greet, and thank every donor.
- If you are on duty when a driver comes to pick up a kettle, ask to see an ID badge. Call the phone number above if you have any concerns.
- Most of all have fun ringing bells by dressing up, playing music, dancing, and singing. We encourage you to take photos and videos of your bell ringing experience!
