Upper Mississippi River chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America

We are the Upper Mississippi River chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America. We started our chapter 1 year ago but our national organization saved the Upper Mississippi River from environmental destruction over 100 year ago! Our chapter’s mission is to conserve, restore, and sustain the Upper Mississippi River for future generations. We aim is to bring people outdoors to interact with nature, learn about environmental issues, and advocate. This is our first family friendly event!

Volunteers will be matched to their skills and interests. They should dress to be outdoors and to help families and children have fun. They may assist with a walk through the forest, place signs, help children fish, upload pictures for a photo contest, assist with registration, or complete similar tasks.

Bring plenty of water and a fully charged cell phone.  Dress for the weather with gym shoes for walking.
